Sustainability is always at the forefront of our design and building process. We consider sustainably designed and built buildings to be lasting, beautiful, functional and adaptable buildings that minimize the impact of the built world on the environment. We approach our projects holistically, integrating the natural influences of the site with innovative design and proven building science.
Now is the time is for energy conservation in all homes. Energy costs will not be dropping in our lifetime and the best plan for a lasting building is to decrease its energy demand as much as possible. We work with our clients to come up with the best path for their project and budget. Our desire is to come up with solutions that benefit the client first and foremost and take both the long view on conservation while considering the short term financial resources available.
We use the best technologies and materials to build beyond the energy code to a minimum of Energy Star rated. Our goal, however, is to build homes that meet the highest standards of energy conservation, preferably homes that are Net-Zero (buildings that don’t use more energy than they can create). There are always shades of “green” in this spectrum.
